Goodsprings

Quick facts: This was a joint project of NV Energy, Ormat Technologies, and Kern River Gas Transmission. The Goodsprings Compressor station on the Kern river gas pipeline network is 35mi south of Las Vegas near the California border. The original compressor drivers were three Mars 90 Solar gas turbine rated about 11,000hp each and delcared in service in Jan 1992. These were later upgrade to Mars 100 machines. The power plant was dedicated in Nov 2010.
