Ouick facts: On 27 Jul 2004, DPL placed a turnkey order with Dongfang for Unit-7 at the Durgapur power station in Burdwan district. The unit was commissioned on 29 Apr 2008. The stack is 220m tall.DPL is a state-owned company formed in 1961 which primarily operates as a power company. It later began manufacturing coke and produces coke-oven gas as well as crude coal tar.

Haldia Energy is a wholly-owned subsidiary of CESC Ltd, part of RP-Sanjiv Goenka Group, and electrictiy will be used in CESC's licensed areas in Kolkata. The project has a 317ac plot in East Midnapore district and was built in about 36mos, coming in at a final cost of about Rs 4,600cr. Unit-1 at Haldia PS was fully commissioned on 14 Jan 2015.

Quick facts: MTPS is both DVC's largest power station and the largest plant in West Bengal at present. The site is 35km from Durgapur City at Durlavpur in Bankura district. A 16km water pipeline was built to bring water to the site from the right bank of Damodar river. The extension units are shown under construction. Unit-7 went to full load on 30 Jul 2010 after 36mos of constructon.
