Quick facts: These two USC units replace a pair of 515-MW units built in 1973 and 1976, respectively, and now demolished. Moorburg 3&4 were approved by the Vattenfall Board in Sep 2006. They cost about €2.6bn. The Unit-B pressure test was passed in Apr 2012. synchronization was in Feb 2014, and the unit went commercial on 28 Feb 2015.

EPC: Wedel was built as a power-only PS in 1961-1965. In 1987, the plant was converted into a CHP plant and the first two sets were rebuilt in 1993, Units 3&4 being retired. There are also two gas turbine units for peak-load production. IN Sep 2016, GE was contracted to overhaul the two units.
