Quick facts: This plant is in Shengqiao, Baoshan District, Shanghai, next to the Bao Steel Works. It was the first 1-GW plant in Shanghai. Development began in Apr 1982 and construction started in Apr 1985. The four units went commercial in Feb 1988, Dec 1988, Sep 1989 and May 1990. In Jan 2003, Shidongku-1 became fully owned by Huaneng Power.

Quick facts: The Caojing power company was established in Apr 2007 by Shanghai Electric Power and Shenergy Co. Shanghai Electric Power has a 65% stake at present. The plant construction office opened in Jun 2007 and Unit-1 completed its 168hr trial run on 12 Jan 2010 with an average load of 1,006 MW. Unit-2 went commmercial in Apr 2010. These are USC units.

Quick facts: These were China's first 900-MW class supercritical units. Shanghai Waigaoqiao No 2 Electric Power Generating Co Ltd was invested by Shenergy Co Ltd (40%), GD Power Development Co Ltd (40%) and Shanghai Electric Power Co Ltd (49%). Construction started in May 2001 and the units went online in in Apr and Sep 2004, respectively.

Quick facts: This power station near the Huangou River was founded in 1958 in the Wujing Chemical Industry Zone. Six small units have all been closed. Units 7&8 wre rebuilt into CHP units and recommissioned in Feb and Oct 2010, respectively. They are jointly-owned by Shenergy Co and Shanghai Electric Power.

Construction began in Apr 1997 and Units 1&2 completed on10 Jul 2000 and 6 May 2001, respectively. This was the fiirst project wehre Shanghai Electric Group severed as A/E.
