Quick facts: In May 2007, work got underway on the Huaneng Jiutai power station in Jiutai County, Changchun City. The two units were put in trial production in Sep 2009 and Nov 2009, respectively, and the plant was fully commissioned on 6 Dec 2009. These were the first fully indigenously-designed and supplied, lignite-fueled supercritical tower boilers at this rating in China. The total project investment was Rmb 5,226mn.

Quick facts: In Jan 2009, China Guodian launched the construction of two 330-MW CHP units at the Jiangnan power plant in Jilin City. Unit-1 went commercial on 23 December 2010 followed by Unit-2 on 31 December. The project replaced about 140 coal-fired heating boilers.
