Quick facts: This is India's first solar-trough thermal power station and was built at Nokh village in Jaisalmer a HIRA Group subsidiary formed in 2009. The EPC contract was signed in Sep 2011 and the project completed in Nov 2013. GGEL signed a PPA with NTPC Vidyut Vyapar Nigam (NVVN) and expected to supply about 130 GWh/yr. This project is a part of the Jawaharlal Nehru National Solar Mission.

Quick facts: At completion, this SPP in Ramanthpuram district was the world's largest. It has 2.5mn modules and occupies 2,500ac of land. The scheme also has 576 inverters, 154 transformers, and 6000km of cable. The peak workforce was 8,500. The plant was placed in service in Sep 2016 at a reported cost of INR 45.5bn.

Quick facts: This grid-tied demonstration project is on a 1.4ac site on the outskirts of Khatkar Kalan Village, Nawanshahr District. The total cost of project was Rs 480lk, of which Rs 280lk was a MNES grant-in-aid, Rs 40lk was from a World Bank soft loan, and the balance was from the state. At the time, it was the largest PV plant in the country.
