Quick facts: In Nov 2010, EPC signed a WST 67mn contract for the greenfield Fiaga DPP on a 97ac site at Aleisa on Upolu Island. In April 2013, EPC opened the plant . Three generators were also relocated to the site from Tanugamanono DPP. The Fiaga project also included a short tie-line to a new substation at Fuluasou.

Quick facts: This was the first replacement power station for American Samoa installed following a Sep 2009 tsunami. The gensets are EPA Tier 2 compliant and run on ultra low sulfur diesel fuel to minimize emissions. Each generator set is housed in a custom-built, 40ft cube containers fabricated from stainless steel and including local switchgear and paralleling controls. The two lineups of main switchgear are also housed in custom-built, stainless steel, 40ft cubes.

Quick facts: On 29 Sep 2009, American Samoa was hit by tsunamis resulting from a large submarine earthquake in the region. Among other things, the waves destroyed the Satala power station on Tutuila Island. A total of 18 containerized Aggrekko engines were installed including nine at Tafuna. These were operational from 21 Feb 2010 until Aug 2011 when they were taken out of service following operation of a new plant at Satala.
