Ashuelot

Quick facts: This plant was built at an Ashuelot Paper Co concrete-capped, timber crib dam by Hydroelectric Development Inc. It was later acquired by Algonquin Power Income Fund and then sold to Ashuelot Hydro. Electricity is sold to Public Service New Hampshire with a PPA extending to Sep 2016.

Dodge Falls

Quick facts: Dodge Falls is at river Mile 268 on the Connecticut River in the towns of Bath, New Hampshire and Ryegate, Vermont. The hydroelectric station was constructed at the site of the existing Dodge Falls dam, which was used to supply process water to a paper mill located on the Vermont side of the river. In 2000, the mill was shutdown and papermaking machinery was removed. The 485ft long dam consists of a grouted, rock fill, timber crib with a timber crest and wood plank facing.

Penacook Upper Falls

Quick facts: This plant was licensed in 1984 by Penacook Hydro Associates at an existing dam structure on the Contoocook River in Merrimack County. The license was transferred to Briar Hydro in 1993.

Proctor

Quick facts: This HPP was built by Vermont Marble Corp in 1904. VMC electricity asets were brought by Cenral Vermont PS in 2011 and the company later merged with GMP. The old hydro sets at Proctor dated to 1904 and 1926 and these were closed down in the early 1980s and replaced by a sngle new unit. Tw more units were added in 2015.
