Quick facts: In Mar 1999, VA Tech Voest Alpine signed the contract to manufacture and supply structural steelwork, turbines, valves and governors for the 115 MW Muratli plant, the lowest of a proposed cascade of 11 dams on the Coruh River. The power station is 17km from Borcka town and was opened on 29 Jun 2005 at an official ceremony attended by the Prime Minister Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
