Quick facts: This SHP is 14km north of Huasahuasi town in Tarma province at about 2,500m elevation. Water is sourced from the Huasahuasi and Huacuas rivers. The concession was granted in Mar 2010 and the two units went online in Jan & Feb 2012, respectively. The project has a 600m intake channel, 989m tunnel, and a second 116m channel. The project cost $17.4mn and connects to the Huasahuasi-II SHP.

Quick facts: This SHP is in Tornamesatown in Tarma province. Water is sourced from the Huasahuasi and Huacuas rivers. The concession was granted in Mar 2010 and the two units went online in Apr & May 2012, respectively. The project has a 1,383m conduction tunnel, p73m tunnel, and 311m penstock. The project cost $14.5mn and connects to the 44kV grid.

Oroya

Quick facts: This is one of the oldest power stations in Peru and is located at 3,694m elevation in the mining and smelting center of La Oroya. The plant uses water that has already passed through the Pachachaca hydro plant and discharged into the Rio Yauli. A 16km channel leads to a 1,335m pressure pipe to the Oroya powerhouse. The plant has three horizontal double-Pelton generators

Quick facts: Yaupi is SN Power Peru largest power plant. Water is taken from the Rio Paucartambo and transmitted to the plant by a 12km tunnel which ends in two pressure pipes at the powerhouse. Yaupi has 5 two-jet horizontal Pelton machines operating with a head ot 527m.
