Quick facts: This new unit was licensed in Nov 2004 and opened on 11 Jun 2008. The original unit was built in 1937/38 and acquired by NTE from Meråker Smelteverk in 1988 along with some other plants in the area. Nye Finna includes a total of 3,529m of tunnels and operates at a head of 344m. The project cost NOK 214mn.
