Quick facts: This SHP was installed from 2004 to 2006 at Presa Constitucion de Apatzinganin in Jilotlan de Dolores. The dam on the Rio Corongoros was built by CONAGUA in 1989. The HPP was sold to Enel in 2008.

La Yesca

Quick facts: Along with Aguamilpa HPP and El Cajon HPP, La Yesca is part of the Río Grande de Santiago hydro system at the border of Jalisco and Nayarit states. The scheme was tendered by CFE in 2007 and the selected contractors built the world's tallest concrete-faced earthfill damat 220m The manufacture and supply of the main equipment for the T/G sets was completed in 2010 and the two units went online in Oct and Dec 2012, respectively.

Quick facts: This project was built using one of two diversion tunnels at an existing irrigation dam. Water released from the dam is used for the Coahuayana Irrigation Dist 20km downstream. No public funding was used for this CDM project which has average annual production of about 42 GWh.. The plant was developed by Comexhidro SA de CV and acquired by Enel in Dec 2007.
