In Apr 2014, GE Energy Financial provided a $50mn senior secured term loan to Rockland to support the acquisition.

Quick facts: In early 2000, AES CILCO and Caterpillar reached a service agreement for CILCO to provide all of the electric and thermal energy for Caterpillar's manufacturing facility southwest of Peoria. All of the thermal energy from the MVC plant in Mossville and up to 37 MW of electricity is sold to Caterpillar under a long-term contract. Any surplus electricity is sold into the grid. Construction of the $51mn project began in Apr 2000, first steam was supplied to Cat in Dec 2000, and commercial operation began in May 2001. Cat retired an old inefficient coal-fired steam plant at the site and all of the plant operators were re-employed to operate the new CHP plant. MVC has 13.8kV, 4.16KV, 480V, and 120V plant electrical systems and a 138KV utility interconnection

Quick facts: In Dec 2013 GE announced it would anchor a lending group for complete construction of the Nelson EC in Rock Falls, about 120mi west of Chicago. ING Capital LLC served as joint lead arranger and Siemens Financial Services, Inc also provided construction and term loans for the plant. The plant went commercial on 18 May 2015. A portion of the output is sold under long-term contract to WPPI and the rest is sold into the PJM wholesale market.
