Quick facts: In May 2002, InterGen affiliate Island Power Co said it would proceed with this CCGT on Jurong Island. In early 2003, InterGen and advisor Macquarie Bank began financial arrangements. In Jul 2003, IPC signed a 15yr gas sales agreement with ConocoPhillips and, in Nov 2003, Malaysian conglomerate Sime Darby acquired a 50% stake in Island Power. In Jul 2007, a consortium of Siemens and Samsung E&C was awarded a €480mn EPC contract. In 2008, GMR Infrastructure acquired a 50% stake in InterGen and in May 2009, GMR Infrastructure acquired the entire share capital of Island Power from InterGen NV for an undisclosed sum. In Mar 2013, GMR sold out to FPM Power Holdings, a JV of First Pacific Co Ltd and Meralco PowerGen Corp. PacificLight is a joint venture between FPM Power Holdings and Petronas Power Sdn Bhd.

Quick facts: In Jun 2007, Natural Fuel Ltd signed a 12yr BOT agreement with Banyan Utilities for this cogen project at its biodlesel production facility on Jurong island. In addition to the GT, the project includes a 24 tph fired HRSG and and two 30 tph dual fuel package boilers. The project cost about S$20.5mn and went online in May 2008. At the time, the three-train biodiesel production and glycerin refining plant was the largest in the world.

Quick facts: This is the second phase of the SembCorp CHP plant in the Jurong Banyan industrial area. In Feb 2012, Alstom won an EPC contract for two 400-MW blocks, of which the first completed on 31 Oct 2014 at a cost of S$635mn. Each phase includes the gas turbine, steam turbine, generator, HRSG, and ALSPA Series 6 integrated control system. The order for phase one also includes a 18yr LTSA. Up to 200 tph of process steam can be supplied to industrial customers in the area.

Quick facts: In Nov 2006, TPGS and Pfizer Asia Pacific started construction on this trigeneration plant at Pfizer’s facility in Tuas Biomedical Park. The installation cost S$8mn and was developed and constructed by TPGS, a joint venture company of Tuas Power Ltd and Gas Supply Pte Ltd, which also holds a 15yr O&M agreement with Pfizer. The plant was handed over on 30 Oct 2007.

Quick facts: This power plant is co-located with and supports the Hyflux Tuaspring Desalination Plant, Singapore's largest municipal desalination plant. The CCGT connects to the local 230kV grid. NAES was appointed to operate the power station, which opened in Sep 2013 having bueen built simultanelosuly with the desal plant.
