Quick facts: Moscow International Business Centre (MIBC) is being built on 100ha on Krasnopresnenskaya embankment in an old urban area in central Moscow. Management is by CITY JSC, a JV set up in 1992 between the government and private investors. The project was first launched in the early 1990s but was stalled the first 10yrs or so due to a lack of investment. Power supply for the complex has been built out with a 20kV distribution system to increase operating efficiencies. CITY and Mosenergo are collaborating on the new power network. The main power supply is from two 120-MW CCGT blocks, this one being the first to commission in Sep 2007.

Quick facts: On 30 Jun 2011, Alstom commissioned TPP-26 Unit-8. Design thermal efficiency of 59% is the highest of any CCGT plant in Russia and overall efficiency rises to over 85% when 265 MW of heating output is taken into account. The contract was awarded in 2007, making the KA26-1 MS block Russia’s first turnkey energy project to be handed to a non-Russian company.

Quick facts: This CHP plant serves a new residential area in Moscow and the concession was awarded in a 2005 by Moscow city. It was the first full-scale IPP in the Moscow region. The plant is owned by Zorlu Enerji (51%), Invar International (24.5%), and Talex (24.5%). Heat production is 150 Gcal/hr. The gas turbines were shipped from Houston in May 2007. Standard Ünlü was the lead arranger for project financing.
