Quick facts: In 1999, Poland’s first major gas turbine repowering scheme was completed at Gorzow. ABB Zamech supplied a single, locally assembled GT to repower two existing backpressure turbines. Pipeline gas and a small local supply of low-BTU coal-seam gas is used at the plant.

Quick facts: This CHP plant is one of twin plants opened on 3 Nov 2014 by copper company KGHM. Both use gas from local deposits in Kościanie. Polkowice will supply about 300 GWh and 1mn GJ of heat per year.

Quick facts: The tender for theis CCGT was in Nov 2010 and the FID was in Nov 2012 with contracts signed the following month. The foundation stone was laid on 18 Apr 2013. Synchronization was in Jan 2016. The plant cost about PLN 1.4bn and completed in Jun 2017, about 1.5yrs past the initial schedule. About half its electricity output is sold to the gird and the balance is provided to PKN's Anwil petrochemical plant. The project included a 220/110kV switchyard built by Elbud.
