Three 150-MW steam sets are now under construction for service in 2010. In Nov 2005, National Iranian Gas Co (NIGC) signed a fuel supply contract for the new plant which, unusually, is designed to use gasoline as an alternate fuel. The new plant is connected to the grid through a nearby 400/132kV substation.
